Where is the source code?

Self-host buyers receive Docker images and a compose zip — not a private GitHub clone. That keeps your deployment simple and our signing keys offline.

curl -I returns 405

Many endpoints reject HEAD. Use GET:

curl -s https://YOUR-HOST/api/health

HTTPS / certificate fails

• DNS A record for SITE_HOST must point at the VPS.
• Port 80 must be open for Let’s Encrypt.
• Recreate Caddy: docker compose up -d caddy --force-recreate

Error: “< is an invalid start of a value”

The till called a website (HTML) instead of the POS API (JSON). Almost always the API URL is wrong.

• Correct examples: https://demo.gqora.com/api or https://your-slug.gqora.com/api
• Wrong: https://licenses.gqora.com (license activation only), www.gqora.com, or any GitHub download link

Edit %APPDATA%\PosDesktop\pos.config.json → ApiBaseUrl, or use Change API server on the till. License server stays https://licenses.gqora.com. See the install guide.

Activation shows HTML / “Oh no · GitHub”

The License server field was set to the installer download URL (GitHub) instead of the license host. Change it to:

https://licenses.gqora.com

The GitHub link is only for downloading the till. Full steps: Install guide.

Activation “limit reached”

Your plan’s max terminals are already bound. Unbind a machine from support, or purchase Extra Terminal. Limits are enforced on licenses.gqora.com, not inside GQORA Admin.

Till accepts any key / no license window

You are on a Debug build. Install the Release package from our releases page.

Forgot admin password

Reset via your SQL database or redeploy with a fresh volume (data loss). Keep a password manager entry after first login.
